Campus Building

Baird Music Hall

Description

Two separate but joined buildings house all programs relating to the various music programs, including University Bands, Duncan Recital Hall and Fulbright Auditorium.

Accessibility: Consists of two distinct buildings and an external crosswalk. An accessible door is located at the far left side and serves the first building’s ground floor as well as linking through room 117 to the bottom level of Duncan Recital Hall. For entrance to the second building, take the sidewalk parallel to the front of the building, making a left turn onto the elevated crossway just past the canal. The elevator is inside the first glass door on the right, and accesses the second floor of both buildings and the upper level of the Duncan Recital Hall. No automatic door opener.

History

Built in 1954 and expanded in 1967, this three-story classroom and office building was named in honor of Dr. William Jesse Baird, fifth president of the University. It includes Duncan Recital Hall and Fulbright Auditorium.
