Description

A three-story building that houses the Department of Communication, Media and Leadership Studies; Hamilton Costume Shop; Hamm Speech Suite; Lucille Little Theatre; Yancy Television Seminar Room; Larry Netherton Production Room; and Morehead State Public Radio.  

Accessibility: The door is on the front of the building at the far left side. Take the long hallway to your right, pass through the main lobby, and turn left at the next hallway to reach the elevator.  

History

Built in 1931, expanded in 1965 and renovated and expanded in 2002, this four-story classroom and office building was named in honor of Robert J. Breckinridge, former state school superintendent. Previously known as Breckinridge Training School and University Breckinridge School, it was used for 51 years as the University’s laboratory for teacher training. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
