At Morehead State, the following principles are followed and communicated to each school through a Memorandum of Agreement :
• No tuition is charged to the individual students when the high school pays a participation fee based on the number of courses offered using faculty provided by the partner high school or district.• Tuition is discounted 60% when the instruction is provided by a MSU faculty member. This would include students taking dual credit courses on the Morehead campus or online. This 40% tuition rate is consistent with the per credit hour rate paid by other Morehead State University students, especially those taking more than 12 credit hours.• In order to address the high rates of poverty, as evidenced by the free and reduced lunch rates in our partner school districts, for every three students who pay the 40% tuition rate for classes on the Morehead campus or utilizing a MSU faculty, MSU will provide a 100% scholarship for a high-need student taking classes using MSU faculty. The identification and selection of these students will be administered by the high school leadership team.• Textbooks are provided by most partner high schools as part of the Memorandum of Agreement. Textbooks not provided by the high school are the responsibility of the participating students. This may include software or other materials.
