From its humble beginnings in 1887 to nationally recognized programs and alumni in key positions around the world, MSU has achieved remarkable status in its 125 years of existence. This has been the culmination of the efforts of lots of people who cared.

During the next year, we will recognize those who were instrumental in making MSU what it is today. Whether it was encouraging students to enroll for a quality education or providing resources to enhance our programs, everyone has been important to the University’s heritage.

There will be many opportunities to join our  celebration. We hope to see many of you on campus during the next year; however, if that is not possible, you can still join in wishing “Happy Birthday, dear ole MSU.”
