An option
in Construction Management allows you to learn the management, engineering,
technology, and production analysis behind residential, commercial, and highway
construction. Combining classroom study with field laboratory experience, you
will gain a clear understanding of the industry with courses such as;
excavation methods, surveying, estimating, construction equipment, material
testing, and structural analysis. To further enhance your education with
practical applications, you will gain a background in commercial explosives,
highway and bridge development, hydrology, 3-D surface modeling, and site
layout.
Upon completion of your construction management technology
degree, you will be prepared to begin your career as a production engineer,
engineering technologist, estimator, surveyor, or project manager. The job
outlook for graduates of this option is expected to remain high for many years
to come.

for specific courses for the option. To satisfy the mathematics requirement
of the program, a score of at least 20 on the Math portion of the ACT is
expected. Those students, desiring to enter the program, who do not possess
scores at 20 or above can be admitted provisionally to the
program.
