Program Info
This program prepares individual with no prior teacher preparation to work with students with a range of disabilities in either the so-called mild (LBD: e.g. learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, behavioral disorders, etc.) or severe range (MSD: e.g. severe intellectual disability, autism, multiple disability, etc.) in public school programs at any grade level.

1. Learning and Behavior Disorders (LBD , P-12)
2. Moderate and Severe Disabilities (MSD, P-12)

Admission Requirements:

1) BA with at least a 2.5 GPA
2) Admission Index {(GRE verbal + GRE quantitative) x GPA } of 2050
3) Completed admission packet
4) 3 recommendations
5) Personal statement
6) Criminal background check
7) Completion of 3 pre-requisite foundational courses

- Professional Education, 3 Hours
- Core special education, 18 Hours
- Specialization, 6 Hours
- Seminar, 6 Hours
- Practicum, 12 Hours
- Research, 3 Hours
