Undergraduate Curriculum

The undergraduate curriculum process is administered by the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee. The Committee examines and evaluates all undergraduate curricular offerings with the exception of general education offerings.

We encourage faculty to meet with us prior to developing proposals so that we may offer guidance throughout the process. Contact us at 606-783-2003 to schedule an appointment. Curriculum proposals must be received by the Committee in sufficient time to be heard at the March meeting, to ensure that changes appear in the fall catalog.

New Program Proposal Process

This process includes multiple steps.  Contact the Office of Academic Programs at 606-783-2003 before beginning.
  1. Notification of Intent - The CPE Academic Programs Liaison must post the notification of intent at least 6 months prior to the submission of the pre-proposal.
  2. Pre-proposal - The Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs will notify the initiator when the proposal is posted to the CPE website.
  3. Full Proposal - Once notified of the proposal being posted to the CPE website, the initiator will begin Step 1 of the full proposal request.
