Each year, Morehead State University recognizes a select group of alumni and retirees for their outstanding accomplishments in their respective field(s), as well as their service to Morehead State University. At the annual Homecoming celebration, recognitions are made for new inductees into the Alumni Hall of Fame, Athletic Hall of Fame and the recipient of the Founders Award for University Service.

Founders Award for University Service
The Founders Award for University Service was established by the MSU Board of Regents in 1978. The award provides recognition to individuals who have given superior service to Morehead State University throughout their time as a University employee or volunteer.
Alumni Hall of Fame
The Alumni Hall of Fame provides recognition to those individuals who have achieved excellence in their profession, community service, or education at the local, state, or national level. Alumni must have graduated from Morehead State University ten years prior to nomination and must be responsible, respected citizens of good character in their communities and professions. Individuals will be inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame during Homecoming Weekend of the year they are nominated.
Athletic Hall of Fame
The Athletic Hall of Fame provides recognition to those individuals who have achieved excellence in athletics at Morehead State University and to those persons who have made a significant contribution on behalf of the MSU intercollegiate athletic program. Former athletes must have been officially disassociated with MSU as an undergraduate student for a period of at least ten years or as a member of the staff for at least five years. Must be responsible, respected citizens of good character in their communities and professions.
