Career activities for dance professionals are widely varied and often intertwined.  Most practitioners of this art form have a combination of facets to their professional activities.  These activities include but are not limited to: professional dance organizations, musical theatre, private studios, choreography, and teaching (public schools and collegiate).

Note that those professionals wishing to teach in the public schools are required to have certification and licensure.
