  • Related Academic Programs for Community Support Services, Bachelor of Arts (15)

    • Child Development

      This is a non-teaching program for individual interested in child development, and or planning on working in or running private child care programs.

    • Community Support Services, Bachelor of Arts

      This program is intended to train Direct Support Professionals (DSP). These individual are typically employed as staff in a wide range of community agencies providing support to people who need help to be self-sufficient including people with disabilities or chronic illness; children and youth who are at risk; and families who need assistance in supporting family members.

    • Curriculum and Instruction, Education Specialist (EdS)

      The Specialist in Education degree program offers students who have demonstrated superior scholastic ability and special interest and aptitude in certain areas the opportunity to gain a high level of competency in a chosen specialized field for service as instructors, supervisors, or administrators.

    • Early Elementary (P-5) Area of Concentration, Bachelor of Arts

      This program prepare its graduate to provide state of the art, research based instruction to children in primary through the fifth grade.

    • Elementary (P-5) Post Bachelors

      This is a certification only program which allows individuals with prior teacher education certification to become certified to teach at the P-5 level.

    • Elementary (P-5), Rank I

      Rank 1 programs aim to refine teachers’ instructional skills and arm them with the latest trends in education models, behavior patterns, technology, and leadership techniques.

       

    • Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education (IECE) Area of Concentration, Bachelor of Arts

       

      This program leads to certification for Teachers working with young children from birth through kindergarten.

    • MAT IECE

       

      The Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education program prepares individual with no prior teacher preparation to work with young children from birth through kindergarten. It leads to teacher certification and a Masters degree. While enrolled in the program degree candidates can be employed as fully qualified teacher in Kentucky Schools.

    • MAT Special Education LBD

       

      This program prepares individual with no prior teacher preparation to work with students with a range of disabilities in either the so-called mild (LBD: e.g. learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, behavioral disorders, etc.) or severe range (MSD: e.g. severe intellectual disability, autism, multiple disability, etc.) in public school programs at any grade level.

    • MAT Special Education MSD

       

      This program prepares individual with no prior teacher preparation to work with students with a range of disabilities in either the so-called mild (LBD: e.g. learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, behavioral disorders, etc.) or severe range (MSD: e.g. severe intellectual disability, autism, multiple disability, etc.) in public school programs at any grade level.

    • Special Education, Learning and Behavioral Disorders and Middle Grades (5-9) Certification Area of Concentration, Bachelor of Arts

       

      This program prepares our graduates to work with students with a range of disabilities in either the so-called mild (LBD: e.g. learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, behavioral disorders, etc.) or severe range (MSD: e.g. severe intellectual disability, autism, multiple disability, etc.) in public school programs at any grade level. It also certify graduate to teach in the middle school.

    • Special Education, Learning and Behavioral Disorders and P-5 Certification Area of Concentration, Bachelor of Arts

       

      This program prepares our graduates to work with students with a range of disabilities in either the so-called mild (LBD: e.g. learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, behavioral disorders, etc.) or severe range (MSD: e.g. severe intellectual disability, autism, multiple disability, etc.) in public school programs at any grade level. Additionally graduates meet the requirements for P-5 teaching.

    • Special Education, Moderate and Severe Disabilities and Middle Grades (5-9) Certification Area of Concentration, Bachelor of Arts

       

      This program prepares our graduates to work with students with a range of disabilities in either the so-called mild (LBD: e.g. learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, behavioral disorders, etc.) or severe range (MSD: e.g. severe intellectual disability, autism, multiple disability, etc.) in public school programs at any grade level.
