APSI Information and Registration for Morehead State University 2014
The 2014 Advanced Placement Summer Institute will be held July 14-18, 2014.
The Advanced Placement Summer Institute is designed to help beginning, experienced and future AP teachers plan and implement more effective AP programs in their schools. The Institute workshops share with teachers the curriculum content and teaching methods of AP courses and explore the content, structure, and grading of the AP exams. In addition, the class sessions afford teachers the opportunity to interact with colleagues and to discuss issues and concerns surrounding the AP courses they will teach.
Registration and Payment
Online registration can be found here. A confirmation email will be emailed following successful completion of the registration. Total payment of $525.00 (plus $50.00 lab fee for Biology) can be made in the form of a check (personal or school district), district purchase order or credit card and must be received by July 3, 2014 along with a copy of your confirmation email. Returned checks will be subject to a $25.00 service fee.
Class sizes are limited. Seats are filled based on confirmed payment or receipt of purchase order. Registration closes on Friday, June 27, and ALL payments or purchase orders must be received by Thursday, July 3.
Late registration after, Friday, June 27 will have an additional $50.00 late registration fee applied.
Payment MUST be received in order to receive your AP Certificate of Attendance.

Classes are located on the Morehead State University main campus in Morehead, KY.

After you register and prior to the Institute, you will receive a confirmation email from Teresa Johnson which will include a MSU Visitor’s Parking Pass. (Go here and look on the left for “Parking Map” for specific parking areas). If you park in unauthorized areas you will be subject to ticketing and/or towing at your expense. Do NOT park in numbered or handicap spaces. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and Grad Credit
Continuing Education Units and Graduate credit are not available for this AP Institute.
The registration fee for the AP institute is $525.00 per person. There is an additional $50 lab fee for Biology.

Cancellations or Refunds
Morehead State University will refund the registration fee minus $50.00 administration fee if the Director is notified by July 1, 2014. A refund will not be made if the Director is not notified that a teacher cannot attend. Schools may substitute a paid participant with another teacher in the same course without penalty. Individuals will be billed the full amount if a registered participant does not attend.
Below is a link with details for this year’s AP Fellows Scholarship and the NEW! AP Rural Fellow Scholarship. These scholarships are awarded to secondary school teachers who will teach AP® courses in schools that serve the economically disadvantaged or traditionally underrepresented minority students. AP Fellows Scholarship recipients will receive a scholarship of $1000.00 to attend a College Board-endorsed AP Summer Institute during summer of 2014 and the AP Rural Fellows Scholarship recipients will receive a scholarship of $1,500 to attend a College Board-endorsed AP Summer Institute during summer of 2014.
