This four-day Contemporary Music Festival is organized by Theta Pi Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. Dr. Frank Ticheli is the guest artist-in-residence for this festival.  Dr. Frank Ticheli is a very well known and prolific composer and crosses multiple mediums in wind band, choral, and chamber work literature.  His pieces range from educational to professional and is performed by a wide range of ensembles all over the world.  During his residency, Dr. Ticheli will offer workshops for the students in the Concert Band and Symphony Band, lectures on music theory and instrumental conducting, and classes in composition.  He will also give a presentation during the Student Recital hour on Thursday, April 11, at 3 p.m.  In conjunction with this festival,there will be a Chamber Music Concert on April 8 at 8 p.m. and the Concert Band and Symphony Bands will perform concerts at 8 p.m. on April 9 and April 10, respectively.
