Research Interests: He has published short stories in a variety of literary journals including The American Voice, Appalachian Heritage, Wind, Night Train, Appalachian Journal and The Frost-Proof Review. His work also has been included in the anthologies Home and Beyond, University Press of Kentucky; A Kentucky Christmas, University Press of Kentucky; Missing Mountains, Wind Publications; and The Kentucky Anthology, University Press of Kentucky. His book of short stories is titled Hell and Ohio: Stories of Southern Appalachia, published by Gnomon press.
