Research Interests: In 2002, her book, A Southern Woman of Letters: The Correspondence of Augusta Jane Evans Wilson, was published by the University of South Carolina Press. She has also done research on the nineteenth-century Southern novelist William Gilmore Simms.
Bio
Rebecca Sexton earned her Ph.D., with a specialty in nineteenth-century American literature, from the University of Georgia in 1999.
She teaches the following courses: English 100: Writing I, English 200: Writing II, English 211: Introduction to World Literature I, English 341: American Literature to 1865, English 342: American Literature since 1865, and English 365: Literature of the South.
