More About Performances

Performance is obviously an essential element of any program of performing arts study. The Morehead State University Department of Music, Theatre & Dance hosts over 200 solo, chamber, and large ensemble performances annually by students, faculty, and guest artists as well as a full season of theatre and dance productions.

Not only of educational value, these performances also serve to enrich the cultural life of the campus and community. Our faculty and students often extend their artistic reach beyond the local community through arts performances around the Commonwealth, the United States and the world.

Theatre Major, Grayson, KY"MSU is my home away from home.  The Theatre Program has helped me grow as a performer and has given me the confidence that I need to be successful in the real world. I have had the privilege to perform in various Main Stage productions, as well as learning the ins and the outs of the technical side of a production. The MSU Theatre Program has taught me to love the arts and I look forward to building a career as a musical and theatrical performer."
