A former member of the Eagle women's basketball team, she worked in state government in Kentucky and local government in the District of Columbia. She became an expert on political consulting and worked on several statewide campaigns in New Jersey, as well as some presidential campaigns. She is a former Secretary of State of New Jersey and served on the cabinets of two governors. She founded her own consulting business.
