Tuition, Applications & Forms
All students interested in Music, Theatre, Dance, Art & Design and Creative Writing may enroll in the Academy. The Academy is intended for high school students from rising freshman through graduating seniors. Because of the special learning opportunities offered by the Academy, graduating high schools students who will be attending Morehead State University (incoming freshman) in the Arts are highly encouraged to attend.

The tuition rate for the Academy is $450. A $50 non-refundable application deposit is required and must be included with the SAA application.
EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT! If the applicant has registered and paid the $50 non-refundable deposit by May 1st, 2013, a $25 discount will be applied making the total cost of the Academy is $425. The tuition includes meals, housing, instructional materials and fees.
SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION: A One Hundred Dollar ($100) Merit Scholarship will be awarded to 50 successful applicants this year.
Applicants interested in being considered for this Merit Scholarship are required to write a one paragraph letter recognizing academic and artistic achievements in their respective field of study. (Example; music, theatre, dance, art & design, and creative writing). The applicant must also submit a letter of recommendation from their teacher supporting the consideration. NOTE: We still must receive the Summer Arts Academy application and deposit!

Housing and Food Service
Students will live in campus residence halls and be supervised by Academy staff and faculty at all times. These facilities are within walking distance of Baird Music Hall, Claypool-Young Art Building and Breckenridge Hall where they will attend their Academy courses. Housing and food prices are included in the published tuition rates.
In addition to bringing their own clothing, toiletries, etc., students must bring their own sheets, pillowcases, and towels. A more detailed list of items to bring along will be provided after the application form is received.
