FACULTY SPOTLIGHT

Thumbnail - Joshua Espinoza
Music Faculty, Jazz Piano  "MSU is unique because students get one-on-one interaction with their professors, who are accomplished artists in the region and abroad.  Many larger schools can't offer this kind of attention.  At MSU, we don't allow students to fall by the wayside.  Instead, we help foster their musical growth and artistic development by coming alongside them in classes, rehearsals, and lessons, in ways that faculty at other institutions can't.  I love it here at MSU, and I think you will too!"

How to Apply

  1. Apply for admission to Morehead State University online. All students are strongly encouraged to apply early. You may audition before you are admitted to the University. However, music entrance and scholarship decisions will be determined only after you been accepted to the University.  This form also serves as your application for aid from the University.
  2. Complete the online Music Admission and Scholarship Application Form.  You will schedule your audition on this form.  If you cannot appear for an audition on any of the designated date, please call or e-mail us to arrange a special audition appointment.

All applicants are strongly urged to apply for other institutional and/or government financial aid opportunities.  Experience shows that students frequently overlook other sources of financial aid or assume ineligibility without receiving an official financial assessment.  We recommend that you contact the MSU Office of Financial Aid at 606.783.2000 for additional information.

Music Education Major, Pickerington, OH "I like MSU because the small campus atmosphere suits me wonderfully. Coming from a big city to MSU makes me feel relaxed and secluded. The music faculty are the best, and they always strive to do whatever they can to help you grow as a musician."
