Mister E of Imagination: Tales of Edgar Allan Poe
By Vivian Snipes
Once upon a midnight dreary, in a show so dark and eerie,
Filled with many mad tales of gothic lore,
While I sat there, nearly gasping, suddenly there came a grasping
As of someone strongly grabbing, grabbing at my arm once more.
“Tis just a play,” I whispered, to the person shaking to their core.
“Only this and nothing more.”
Edgar Allan Poe’s stories of The Fall of the House of Usher, The Cask of Amontillado, and The Tell-Tale Heart are cut apart and woven together with pivotal moments of Poe’s life story. The Raven in it’s entirety and pieces of the poems Annabel Lee and The Bells are included.

This highly creative and dramatic performance will generate classroom discussion and offers the potential for a variety of student writing and performance projects. High schools and middle schools can book a performance of Mister E of Imagination: Tales of Edgar Allan Poe for $150. Schools that book a performance will also receive a study guide and an on-site workshop. Both of these teaching tools are devised to provide information, ideas and examples for enriching minds through the study of the works of Edgar Allan Poe and offering a safe place to explore their artistic imaginations.

Our tour books quickly! Call 606.783.2545 or email m.jerde@moreheadstate.edu today.

Performances booked before Jan. 15 will receive a $20 discount.
