Sunday , January 19th the Morehead State Saddle seat team traveled to Louisville to compete. The saddle seat team consists of 6 students ranging from freshmen to seniors. Some of the schools they were in competition against were UK, UL, EKU, Marshall, and a few others. At the completion of the University of Louisville ISSRA show Morehead state had won High Point Team. The results were as follows: 

 
Tyler Spillmen 1st on pattern and 2nd on rail 
Madelyn Palazzo 3rd on rail and 2nd in pattern class 
Meagan Darby 1st on rail and 2nd on pattern class 
Katie Roberts 1st on rail and 5th on pattern class
Brooke Sauley 5th on rail 
Emily Garn 4th on rail and 3rd on pattern class
 
Tyler Spillmen was also the high point Junior rider 
 
Saturday, February 1st the Morehead State Saddle seat team hosted a show here at the Derrickson Agriculture Complex. The saddle seat team consists of 6 students ranging from freshmen to seniors, with Erin Lecompt as the coach. Some of the schools they were in competition against were UK, UL, EKU, Marshall, UI, and NKU.   At the completion of the MSU ISSRA show Morehead state had won High Point Team. The results were as follows:
 
Tyler Spillmen 1st and 1st 
Katie Roberts 1st and 1st 
Madelyn Palazzo 1st and 3rd 
Meagan Darby 3rd and 4th 
Emily Garn - 1st and 2nd 
 
Tyler was again the junior high point rider and Katie was the reserve junior high point rider for the day. 
 
The MSU saddleseat team will compete again in April for the ISSRA Championships held by NKU at the Altech arena. 
 
Sunday, February 2nd  the Morehead State Western team hosted a show here at the Derrickson Agriculture Complex. The western team consists of 9 members ranging from freshmen to seniors, with Erin Lecompt as the coach. Some of the schools they were in competition with were UL, UK, Marshall, Midway, NKU, and UC. There were two shows back to back on Sunday. At the completion of the MSU IHSA Western shows the Morehead State Western team had placed as Reserve High Point team. The results were as follows: 
 
Madelyn Palazzo 3rd and 4th
Coty Tingle 1st and 2nd 
Emily Siemer 3rd and 5th 
Brie Keyes 2nd and 4th 
Nick Clay 2nd and 3rd 
Brenden Waddle 2nd and 4th 
Jess Sellers 2nd and 3rd 
Kathi Crites 5th and 6th 
 
Congrats to both the teams and Erin  on the success of their weekend ! 
 
The MSU Western team, as well as the Hunt Seat team will be competing twice this coming weekend at the Morehead State University Farm.
