As an apartment, you must fill out the Apartment Intent Form here. The form is due to your Student Director by 4:30pm on Friday, February 28th. Failure to return an intent form will be an indication that you do not wish to live in the apartments for the 2014-2015 academic year.
Please read carefully before completing your application (the application is at the bottom of this page). In order to apply for an apartment you must have completed 48 credit hours and possess a cumulative GPA of 2.5 at the time of application. If you are attempting to be pulled into an apartment vacancy, you must meet the above requirement and fill out this form. Additionally, your potential roommates will need to indicate on their intent form that they are pulling you in to their apartment. If an applicant is deemed ineligible for apartment assignment upon review, the application will proceed with the remaining eligible applicants or voided if no eligible applicants remain. Point values will be assigned to each applicant on the application in the following manner in regard to credit hours achieved:o 48-54 credit hours= 1 pointo 55-60 credit hours= 2 pointso 61-66 credit hours= 3 pointso 67-72 credit hours= 4 pointso 73-78 credit hours= 5 pointso 79-84 credit hours= 6 pointso 85-90 credit hours= 7 pointso 91-96 credit hours= 8 pointso 97-102 credit hours= 9 pointso 103+ credit hours= 10 points (Includes grad student) Point values will also be assigned to each applicant on the application in the following manner in regard to GPA:o 2.500 – 2.799 = 1 pointo 2.800 – 3.099 = 2 pointso 3.100 – 3.399 = 3 pointso 3.400 – 3.699 = 4 pointso 3.700 – 4.000 = 5 points Point values will also be assigned to each applicant on the application in regard to the number of semesters that you have been a resident of university student housing. Each semester (fall or spring) that you have completed will be valued at one point.o Example: A resident who has 83 credit hours, a 3.714 GPA, and has lived in university housing for 7 semesters would receive a total of 18 points. (6 credit hour points, 5 GPA points, and 7 residency points) The points (Point value = credit hour points + GPA points + housing residency points) of everyone on the application will be combined for the application. The higher your combined point value, the better your chances for an apartment. If two applications have the same number of points, a random draw will determine their rank order. Completed applications are due to the Housing Office by 4:30 p.m. on Friday March 7th, 2014. Your name can appear on only one application, duplicate names will void all applications the name appears on. Assignment letters for apartment housing will be emailed by Friday March 14th, 2014 to your MSU university email account.
