Research Interests: Studying how educational professionals and administrators can influence the experiences and overall well-being of students of color (particularly African American females) when pursuing postsecondary educational opportunities; Examining ways that individuals, in general, and African American females in particular use Social Networking Site (SNSs) to explore and manage identity and foster communication and relationships; Exploring ways that SNSs may negatively effect African American females and/or increase the digital divide and effects of the digital divide and ways to overcome the negative effects; and Exploring ways that SNSs and other emerging technologies have changed interaction and interpersonal styles and ways these changes may influence clients and the ethical, legal, and professional issues in counseling.
