George M. Luckey Jr Honors Program Scholarship

To apply for the George M. Luckey, Jr. Honors Scholarship, you must be an incoming freshman and you must complete an application by the deadline date to be considered. Applications will be reviewed and if selected you will receive a phone call to schedule an appointment for the interview. Yen Tran

As a freshman, Yen did two projects focusing on U.S. – China relationship and Vietnam’s Economic Reform. Her first project about U.S. – China won the 2012 Library Prize for Undergraduate Research. She has presented the two papers at several conferences in all levels (state, regional and national). In the future, she plans to expand her research in the Asian regions under political and economic aspects, under two mentors: Dr. James Masterson and Dr. Ali Ahmadi. Yen hopes to get a law degree and MBA degree after graduating from Morehead State University.
