UPDATE 3-06-13:

Electricity in Ginger Hall has been restored. The building will be re-opened at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013. Courses will return to the building on a class-by-class basis. Students are asked to check Blackboard and email for updates from faculty.

The relocated offices will remain in temporary locations until the end of the semester to allow for additional infrastructure work to be completed efficiently. Faculty may return to their individual offices on Monday. 

Ginger Hall (classroom and office building) has been closed due to damage sustained from an electrical fire in the main switch room. Repair of the high-voltage electrical distribution equipment may take up to two weeks. The building is currently without power, water, or heat. For safety reasons, personnel with access to Ginger Hall may NOT enter the facility on their own. Employees who need access to the building should contact their supervisors. Students who ride the shuttle bus to the stop behind Ginger Hall should be aware that the building is NOT open for through traffic.

• All courses being held in Ginger Hall will be moved online to their Blackboard course shells until further notice. Students are asked to login into Blackboard for specific instructions PRIOR to their scheduled course time. All students are encouraged to contact their instructors if they have not already received communication from them.
