Welcome to the MSU Department of Imaging Sciences website and thank you for your interest in our programs. We have offered imaging science education since 1973, starting with our radiologic technology program and later adding our baccalaureate advanced imaging options in computed tomography, magnetic resonance and diagnostic medical sonography. The latest addition has been our baccalaureate online option in leadership medical imaging. The curriculum is coherent, integrated, and meets the standards established by professional and accreditation agencies. Our curriculum is designed to prepare the student with the needed education and clinical skills to become a competent practitioner. The department is affiliated with 30+ clinical education centers ranging from imaging centers to large medical centers. Students are assigned to various institutions allowing them to maximize their clinical experience.Our graduates work with sophisticated equipment and use critical judgments to produce diagnostic images. Imaging science is a very exciting profession with continuing technological advances in healthcare. Our greatest accomplishments are the 1300 + graduates working throughout the nation in the many different technical and administrative positions. The faculty are among the most highly credentialed in the nation and are dedicated to student success.

We also offer one of the country’s few Online Bachelor’s Degrees in Radiology/Imaging Sciences.
