Psychology

If you’re interested in learning about human behavior, the Department of Psychology at Morehead State University offers a range of bachelor's and master's degree programs to prepare you for a broad range of careers.

Psychology is the scientific study of behavior. Psychologists use the principles and methods of science to try to understand why people think, feel and act the way they do. The programs offered at MSU will equip you with not only the knowledge, but the practical skills needed, to be successful in the field after you graduate.
You can earn a degree in psychology, which will equip you for careers in the mental health field, or neuroscience, which will prepare you for more analytical "lab" work.

The Department of Psychology offers you the opportunity to study under faculty members with a wide range of professional and research interests, and there are excellent opportunities to get involved in faculty-guided research as early as your freshman year through the Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program. This provides you with unique opportunities for hands-on learning experiences.
