The Intramural program provides a variety of recreational opportunities for the MSU community. Individual/dual activities include badminton, tennis, golf, racquetball, corn toss, table tennis, bowling and swimming. Team sports such as softball, volleyball, soccer, basketball, bowling, golf, beach volleyball, wallyball, dodgeball, wiffleball and ultimate frisbee are offered during the appropriate season. Informal "drop-in" recreational opportunities such as racquetball, basketball, volleyball and game tables are available whenever the Recreation and Wellness Center is open for business. For additional information, contact the Intramural Office at 606-783-5284.

How Do I Participate?

Members of the MSU community (currently enrolled students, faculty and staff) are eligible to participate in intramural programs.

Register for intramural activities online and make sure you click "log in," then click the MyMoreheadState button before registering or creating a team. Fees are $5 for per sport (excluding golf and bowling). We accept cash, personal check, credit/debit card and BeakerBUCKs. In order to pay with cash, check or BeakerBUCKs, you must sign up at the Recreation and Wellness Center.

We offer an intramural pass for the fall or spring semester. The pass is $30 and covers all entry fees (excluding golf and bowling). You may buy a year-round intramural pass covering both semesters for $55.

Leagues Offered

We offer men’s open, women’s open, Greek, sorority, and co-rec leagues. Individuals that would like to participate, but are not affiliated with an organization may contact the Intramural Office at 606-783-5284 for information on how to register as a "free agent."

Assumption of Risk

Participation in intramural and recreational activities is entirely voluntary. Individuals participate at their own risk and assume responsibility for their own health and safety. It is strongly recommended that all participants consult a physician and/or have a physical prior to participation. Morehead State University makes available an optional limited benefit accident/health insurance. Participants are encouraged to secure their own personal health coverage.
