We are days away from move in and final preparations are underway for


If you remained on campus from a summer assignment or were an early arrival on Sunday, please be aware of parking restrictions that will be in place beginning Wednesday Aug. 11 at 4 p.m.:
  • All lots around the residence halls will be closed and remaining vehicles will be ticketed or towed. If you have a car on campus, by this time it will need to be moved to:
    • East Campus Parking Garage
    • 5th Street Gravel Lot
    • AZ Lot behind BCM
    • S Lot across from Laughlin Health on corner of Main St and University Blvd
  • Please refer to parking signage in your residence hall or on the move in webpage ( for information about when lots will reopen.


If you have not visited the move in webpage, please do so. Whether you are a returner, first year student, or transfer, there is critical information to know and be aware of. First year students should review the move in video posted so you are aware of what your day will look like. Please visit the website at

Friday Aug. 13: First year student move in

            10a.m.: Cartmell Hall Floors 3, 7, 11, 15
                         East Mignon Floors 2, 4, 6

First year students that reside in a hall not listed above should contact our office via email at for information about specific move-in plans for their assignment


Returning students will move in on Saturday and Sunday, August 14th and 15th. Information, FAQs, and helpful tips can be found on the move in webpage (


Transfer students residing in a first year student hall (Cartmell, East Mignon, Mignon Tower) have the option of returning based on the first year schedule outlined above, or on August 14th and 15th with returners. Transfer students residing in any other hall should plan on arriving on either August 14th or 15th, as outlined on the move in webpage (


  • All students are encouraged to upload their Covid-19 vaccination information to for a chance to win free textbooks for a semester (and other prizes).
  • Morehead State University encourages everyone to get a Covid vaccination. This is a great way to protect yourself and your campus community. If you’re not sure if the vaccine is right for you, please consult with your medical provider.
  • Covid-19 vaccinations are widely available. Locally, you can receive a Covid vaccine through St. Claire Healthcare, the Gateway Health Department, and most local pharmacies. Go to to find out where vaccines are available.
  • Morehead State University, in cooperation with St. Claire Healthcare, will offer an on-campus, walk-in clinic on Thursday, August 12th and Friday, August 13th in Laughlin Gymnasium. No appointments are necessary. Onsite parent/guardian consent is required for students under the age of 18. Vaccines are also available by appointment at the MSU Counseling & Health Services clinic in Allie Young Hall. Call (606) 783-2055 to schedule your appointment.
  • Unvaccinated students should make travel/quarantine plans prior to campus arrival. In most cases, Morehead State University will not accommodate on-campus quarantine. Students who must quarantine due to close contact exposure to Covid-19 will be expected to quarantine at home/off-campus at their own expense.
  • Fully vaccinated individuals are not required to quarantine due to exposure. Avoid missing school or being forced to quarantine off campus by getting your vaccination!
