DIVERSITY & INCLUSION
Student success is the core of everything we do at Morehead State. Our emphasis on diversity and inclusion helps make success available to everyone.
Guaranteeing Success
A diverse, inclusive campus is a campus where every student can succeed. We embrace differences among individuals and communities, ensuring opportunity for everybody.
Diversity recognizes our varied characteristics, ideas, and world views related—but not limited—to race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, religion, color, creed, national origin, disabilities, socioeconomic status, life experiences, geographical region, or ancestry, as well as how these factors intersect.
Inclusion describes our commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment that honors and respects these differences.
Leadership & Support
Dr. Caroline Atkins, MSU’s chief diversity officer, leads the development and oversight of programming, services, and initiatives to recruit and retain students and faculty from diverse and under-represented populations.
Before joining Morehead State, she was a senior associate at the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education. Her work focused on helping Kentucky colleges and universities implement campus-based plans to support student success, especially among underrepresented students.
