On Campus ACT (ACT Residual) Test

Each entering freshman is required to submit scores from the American College Test (ACT) or alternate test. An applicant may take the On Campus ACT (ACT Residual) for the following reasons:

  • The entering freshman was unable to take the national ACT.
  • The applicant needs a higher ACT score to be admitted.
  • The student needs a higher score to avoid enhanced classes.
  • The student needs a higher score for program admittance.

On Campus ACT (ACTR) tests conducted on Morehead State University’s campus are ONLY valid at MSU.  The fee for the On Campus ACT (ACTR) is $80.

The On Campus ACT (ACT Residual) may not be taken within 60 days of taking the ACT Assessment on any college campus or any other non-national tests on campus.  Scores will be cancelled and the test fee will not be refunded.

  • Aug. 5 (Last test date before fall classes begin)

To register, call the testing center at 606-783-2526 or email with the following information:

  • Your name.
  • Your MSU ID number.
  • Your phone number.
  • The date you wish to take the ACT-R.
Examinees must present original identification (driver's license, state identification card, EagleCard, passport, or ACT Identification form) to test. (Photos of identification are not accepted.)
