Eagle Scholars

Through Morehead State's Eagle Scholars dual credit program, high school students have the opportunity to complete most or all of their first-year courses before ever stepping foot on campus. Eagle Scholars get a head-start on their education by taking college-level courses while earning their high school diploma.

Perks of being an Eagle Scholar

  • No Application Fee
  • Early scholarship awards
  • EagleCard
  • Early Student Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) programs
  • Early Housing assignments
  • Student access to Campus Activities and events

Participating in MSU's Eagle Scholars program will allow you to interact with University faculty in your high school and at special events hosted on MSU's campus. Most early college classes are taught by teachers and administrators in your school system, providing an extra amount of familiarity and comfort. All instructors meet the qualifications to teach at a college level and are paired with an MSU faculty member for additional support. As an Eagle Scholar you can access advising, tutoring, and library services.

Eligibility Requirements and participating high schools

Students interested in participating in MSU's Eagle Scholars program must be a student at one of our participating partner high schools. Other eligibility requirements include the following:

  • A minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • An ACT composite score of 18

Certain courses have statewide minimum assessment scores. Discuss these requirements with your guidance counselor.
