LIFEGUARD RECERTIFICATION

The lifeguard review course is designed to help you update your skills while extending your certification for another two years. We offer the review course for those whose certifications are still valid (or within 30 days of expiring) while allowing you to continue to work without a lapse in verification. The course length is 12 hours and is typically held over the course of a weekend or two days. Participants are given ample opportunity to practice and review skills (including watching videos) before taking the written test and passing the skills portion.

  • No refunds are given to participants who cannot complete the prerequisites or do not complete the course.
  • Courses are limited to 10 participants in a class on a first-come-first-served basis.
  • Courses must have at least three participants signed up for the class to continue on schedule.
  • Additional courses can be offered for organizations/groups with three or more participants if the course schedule does not fit your organization/group's needs.
  • You do not have to have a membership with the Recreation and Wellness Center (RWC) to participate in this course.
