Visual Communication Minor

A minor in visual communication exposes you to emerging technologies and resulting computer competencies. The program provides you with both the creative and technical abilities necessary for employment in a wide range of visual communications, new media and graphic design fields.

The minor is designed to serve students who have an interest in digital art and design, communications, computer information systems or a related field and who desire further studies in visual literacy and communication. Students studying advertising and electronic media production will have particular benefit, due to the increased exposure to industry-standard applications such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and In-Design and an emphasis on design elements and principles in graphic design courses.
