Profile
Dr. Engle’s area of specialization is early twentieth-century British Literature, his dissertation on the poetry of the First World War. He teaches courses in English and World Literature. In addition, based upon his interest, research and a published book on cinema, he regularly teaches the Introduction to Film and History of Film courses. Dr. Engle works closely with the Honors Program at MSU and teaches their courses on the Medieval and Renaissance periods, as well as advising with Self-Education and the Senior Honors project.
Dr. Engle is the Faculty Advisor for MSU’s chapter of Phi Eta Sigma, the national Freshman honor society.
