Dr. Ron Morrison was trained as a Victorian literature specialist at the University of Kansas. Dr. Morrison has published widely on a variety of nineteenth- and twentieth-century writers, including Thomas Hardy, Charles Dickens, Richard Jefferies, and William Wordsworth, among others. Dr. Morrison’s current research focuses on ecocritical approaches to Victorian literature, including the depiction of animals in Victorian literature and culture.

Dr. Morrison has a contract with McFarland Publishers for a student-oriented companion to Thomas Hardy’s novels, which is tentatively scheduled to appear in 2020.
