Choral Festival

Join us for Morehead State University's 61st Annual Choral Festival for High School Singers. The festival takes place on Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 8-9, 2021.

We will have two honor choirs: an SATB Chorus directed by one of the most sought-after choral clinician in America, Dr. Eph Ehly, Professor Emeritus at the Conservatory of Music, University of Missouri-Kansas City and an SSAA Chorus directed by Dr. Alissa Rowe, Director of Choral Activities at Southeastern Louisiana University. This may be a “once in a lifetime” opportunity for your students to sing under the direction of such esteemed conductors. Your students will have a great time learning during their two days with us.

Our clinicians have selected repertoire that they feel your students will enjoy rehearsing and performing. They have included a wide variety of styles. Each choir has pieces that will be attractive to your own choirs. I believe your singers will greatly enjoy working on this music.

You can download the registration form, save it electronically, and then send it to our MSU Choirs email address: Please return your registration form to us by Thursday, Sept. 16. It is recommended to to send it earlier to assure a place for your singers. Order your music early and rehearse it with your students. We need your singers to arrive well
prepared for the festival. Stanton’s Sheet Music Company has the music in stock for you. Please announce the solo competition to your students and help them prepare early.

We have had fabulous festivals in the past with our two-choir format. We hope you and your singers will choose to be with us this year and make our 2021 Choral Festival the best ever.
