Research Interests: My research interests include how students of any age learn best, and developmental factors related to teacher educator preparation.  I was previously involved in the study of educational reform in action (the Kentucky Education Reform Act in the 1990s) and am still interested in that area, but not active in it.

Vita of most recent work . You can e-mail me and ask for my complete curriculum vitae, if you're interested.

I have been teaching undergraduate and graduate students at MSU full-time since 2000, primarily in the areas of human development and educational research methods.  I have lived in Morehead since 1991, but from 1992-2000 I worked halftime as an educational researcher on a federal grant.  During those eight years I also had two children!  I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, vegetable gardening, audiobooks, Food Network's Chopped, Netflix, as well as playing Settlers of Catan, Fluxx, Words with Friends, and 2048.
