Degrees, Licensures and Certifications: Ed.D. and MS curriculum and instruction (botany, zooarchaeology, social studies), BA anthropology; KY certified teacher biology, chemistry, physics, social studies and middle grades science; EdTPA secondary social studies reviewer; Quality Matters master reviewer and consultant. 
Research Interests: Dr. Lennex researches, presents and publishes in technology issues and integration for P-16 schools (3D, apps, etc.), chemistry, physics, social studies curriculum, and occasionally ethnobotany. 


Dr. Lesia Lennex received her doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is currently a professor of education in the Department of Middle Grades and Secondary Education. She serves as the chair of science education SIG (2017-2019) and prior chair for information technology education SIG (2008-2014), Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education (SITE). She is a Morehead State University distinguished researcher (2012-2013), scholarship and student engagement featured faculty (2017-2018) and recognized by the Kentucky Senate for Workforce Development Education in 3D systems (2018). Lennex is a former high school teacher of biology, chemistry, physics, and ecology.
