The Department of Kinesiology, Health, and Imaging Sciences offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs to prepare you for careers in wellness and medicine, or to further your education in graduate or professional school.  We offer academically robust programs taught by experienced faculty members who are dedicated to helping you succeed. Our small class sizes ensure you'll recieve personal, one-on-one attention from faculty members who see you as more than a number.

As a student, you'll have numerous opportunities to learn practical, hands-on skills. You can also work side-by-side with professors who are actively conducting research through our Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program. You have a chance to conduct research as early as your freshman year and will be able to present your findings at MSU's annual Celebration of Student Scholarship and at state, regional and national professional conferences.

Imaging Sciences

Imaging Sciences programs give you the hands-on clinical skills and knowledge you'll need to pursue an exciting, in-demand career in medical imaging after graduation. A degree from MSU not only prepares you for success, you’ll be able to take pride in the fact that your work helps people lead longer, healthier lives.

We can prepare you for a career as a:

  • Radiographer
  • Sonographer
  • MRI technologist
  • CT technologist

We also offer one of the nation’s few online bachelor's programs in radiology/imaging sciences. The Leadership in Medical Imaging online bachelor degree program is designed to prepare working technologists to be competent leaders in radiology/imaging sciences.

Nekko Beal

"I want to break that barrier ... I want to be like 'I did this.' I want to change how people see women in athletic training."

Nekko is an exercise science major from Cincinnati and she wants to become an athletic trainer in the NFL or in the military. She enjoys outdoor activities and the many opportunities that MSU offers.

Imaging Sciences

Morehead State’s imaging sciences programs prepare you for a rewarding medical career. We offer both two-year and four-year programs in our state-of-the-art imaging facilities located at the Center for Health, Education and Research. Our leadership in medical imaging degree at MSU is one of the nation’s few imaging sciences bachelor’s degree programs that is offered completely online. The program is designed for working professionals who already hold an associate degree.
