In our efforts to make an impact on regional engagement needs (e.g. community building, economic/entrepreneurial development, education, and/or health and wellness), the individual residents, nonprofit, governmental, quasi-governmental agencies, and private industry need to be recognized and treated as equal partners in these efforts. It takes the collaborative partnerships of a community to make a difference.
Morehead State University’s Center for Regional Engagement strives to be a better neighbor and partner within our region and below are just a few resources we have developed to help us achieve this.
The Volunteer Center at the Center for Regional Engagement strives to identify volunteer opportunities throughout our 22 county service region and post them on our MSU CaREs Volunteer Hub site for our students, faculty, and staff to sign up and give back to our region. You can sign up for a FREE Volunteer Hub account and start signing up for all the wonderful opportunities that meet your personal and academic needs. For more information about MSUCares, please contact Melisa Patrick, Community Service Coordinator by phone at 606.783.9327 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hourly Service Log
The Hourly Service log helps you and MSU track what you are doing related to your service experiences. Please regularly submit to the Center your service experience throughout your time at MSU so that the Center can provide you with a co-curricular transcript at your convenience. For more information about the Hourly Service Log, please contact the Center at 606.783.9327 or by email at email@example.com.
Community Agency Profile (CAP)
The CAP form is a way for us to profile nonprofit, governmental, quasi-governmental agencies, and private industry institutions to understand what resources exist in our service region. Many agencies are doing great things in the region and these profiles assist us in our efforts to develop collaborative partnerships. For more information about the Community Agency Profile, please contact the Center by phone at 606.783.9327 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
