Bio:

David Barber began teaching real estate courses at MSU in 2004 as an Adjunct Instructor and was hired as a full-time Instructor of Management in the fall of 2022. Mr. Barber has worked in economic development throughout the last twenty years as Director of Morehead State University's Small Business Development Center from 2004 until 2010, Small Business Development Specialist with The Southeast Kentucky Economic Development Corporation from 2012 through 2016 and also as a licensed Realtor in Kentucky since 1997.

About teaching, Mr. Barber says, “I love developing a good relationship with new students each semester and helping them understand the concepts of the subject we are studying. I enjoy talking with the students and making them feel comfortable in the classroom. I hope every student learns the basics of the subject and will be able to use that knowledge in the real world. I try to give the students a real-life lesson that will help them in the future, whether starting a small business or buying a house.”

David is an avid fisherman, a lifelong fan of the Cincinnati Reds and enjoys spending time with his wife, Sheila, and their two children.
