Lucas Brock

Research Interests: Equine exercise physiology, horse and rider biomechanics, equine tendon degradation and regeneration.

Bio

Luke grew up in Franklin, Tennessee, breaking colts on his neighbor's Quarter Horse breeding farm. He started his collegiate career at Lamar Community College where he earned his associate's degree in Horse Training and Management. After graduating, he worked for several reined cow horse trainers in Colorado and California. Upon his return to Tennessee, Luke attended Middle Tennessee State University where he earned his bachelor's degree in animal science and an MS in equine education. During his time in graduate school, Luke was an AQHA International Clinician, helped coach the MTSU Stock Horse Team to a D-II National Championship and won several national titles himself. Luke loves to spread his knowledge of horsemanship to the student's in MSU's equine science program.
