Bio

Nathania Bush earned her Associate Degree in Nursing in 1996, her Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing in 2001 and her Master of Science in Nursing in 2002 from Eastern Kentucky University. In 2012, she earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her capstone project was titled "Palliative Care Education in Nursing Homes".

Bush is an Associate Professor at Morehead State University. She is certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Public Health Nursing. Bush's clinical and scholarship interests include end-of-life issues in older adults and pediatric bereavement. She is an End of Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) certified trainer in adult and pediatric palliative care and a trainer in Geriatric Nursing Education Consortium (GNEC). Bush is actively engaged in many service learning projects including Camp SMILE and an international project in Haiti.
