Profile
Dr. Heba Elgazzar is an assistant professor of computer science in the School of Engineering and Computer Science at Morehead State University. She received both her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering and her M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Louisville. She received her B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Zagazig University, Egypt. Her research interests include machine learning, data science, data mining, network science, network analytics, social networks, image mining and image processing. She served as a reviewer and member of the editorial board of international journals and as a member of the technical program committee of international conferences. Elgazzar taught various computer science courses at Morehead State University at the undergraduate and graduate levels. She received the Outstanding Teaching Award from the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics at Morehead State University in 2013. Elgazzar is a professional member of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), and she is the faculty sponsor and advisor of the ACM Student Chapter at Morehead State University. She served as an advisor and mentor for many undergraduate and graduate students. She enjoys interacting with her students and helping them succeed in their future careers.
