Profile

Dr. Kim Fatten has been teaching accounting since 2001. Her career started as a part-time adjunct instructor shortly after receiving her MBA from Indiana University. She enjoyed teaching so much she eventually decided to pursue her Ph.D., also from Indiana University.

Before (and during) teaching, her accounting career encompassed public accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting and small business consulting. Most recently, she worked as a product manager for the Becker CPA Review and is passionate about helping her students understand the value of certification and licensure. Her favorite topic to teach is Forensic Accounting. Fatten enjoys cooking, gardening, reading sci-fi/fantasy novels and playing video games with her family.
