Megan Gregory

Biography

Drawing on her professional career of 30 years performing and teaching Traditional Music, Megan Gregory has demonstrated the ability to coach and mentor students in this field at the university level.
She has performed traditional music in some of the most respected theaters, universities, music festivals, and concert halls including Carnegie Hall in New York City and The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.

Megan Gregory has toured and recorded extensively with nationally recognized artists including, The Steep Canyon Rangers, and The Biscuit Burners. She performs masterfully in styles including Bluegrass, Old Time, Western Swing, and Celtic as a soloist, with bands and has soloed with symphony orchestras.

Personal friendships and professional relationships with current traditional artists such as Grammy Award winners, Mark O’Connor and Becky Buller give her unique and invaluable perspective when teaching about Traditional Music.
