Dr. Todd Harris

About Me

Dr. Todd Harris brings more than 25 years of student affairs leadership experience at both public and private institutions of higher education. As vice president for student affairs, Harris provides strategic leadership for programs and services that support student success, engagement, well-being and personal development. He is committed to creating a campus environment where students feel supported, connected and empowered to achieve their goals.

Before joining Morehead State in February 2026, Harris served as vice president for student life and dean of students at Hilbert College in Hamburg, New York. Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles in residence life, student engagement and student support services at institutions across the country, including Georgetown University, Lake Forest College, Georgia Gwinnett College and Methodist University.

Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, Harris earned a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication with a concentration in public relations and a Master of Education in Counseling with a concentration in college student development from North Carolina State University. He later earned a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Harris believes that higher education should be transformative and that student development is at the heart of the university experience. He is passionate about fostering a vibrant campus community where students can build meaningful connections, engage in memorable experiences and grow both personally and professionally.

As vice president, Harris works closely with campus leaders to advance Morehead State's mission of student success. He is dedicated to supporting programs and opportunities that enrich campus life, strengthen student engagement and help Eagles thrive inside and outside the classroom. His work aligns with the University's focus on creating an exceptional student experience while serving the region and preparing graduates for successful futures.
