Bio

Dr. Hypes has been on the faculty at Morehead State University since the fall of 2002. Prior to moving to Morehead, he taught four years at Indiana State University (IN) two years at Peru State College (NE), and seven years at Austin Peay State University (TN). He started his teaching career at Motlow State Community College and Bedford County Public Schools in Tennessee. Dr. Hypes and his wife reside in Morehead along with their four cats.

About teaching, Dr. Hypes says he enjoys watching the student grow and mature during his or her time in the program and develop into young professionals with the knowledge and experience needed to be successful in the industry. He says “I hope the students will become critical thinkers who understand and appreciate the "bigger picture" and develop a desire to be life-long learners.”
