Profile

A graduate of Morehead State University, Mr. Manis counts it a privilege and honor to be teaching in the same department from which he earned his degrees. Manis is co-coordinator of the basic communication course and undergraduate internship program, co-chairs the departmental scholarship committee, coordinates general education assessment efforts within the unit, and is an undergraduate faculty advisor. Additionally, Manis coordinates the Eagle TALONS Program, a living-learning community built upon servant-leadership principles, in Grote-Thompson Hall. Manis also coordinates various summer camps at the University, including INSIGHT, Governor's Scholars Program, Rogers Explorers, and Rogers Scholars. His research interests include political communication, persuasion, and leadership.
