Selected Awards and Honors

Dr. Moore has received numerous awards for her work, including being selected as a Finalist for the 2022 edition of the René Carcan International Prize for Printmaking and the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters Photography Award. Dr. Moore has been the recipient of numerous artist's residencies, including a full fellowship to the Vermont Studio Center (VT) and those at Jentel Artist Residency Program in Sheridan, Wyoming and Signal Fire Outpost residency in Portland, Oregon. She also served as an artist-in-residence at San Juan National Forest (CO) and Hot Springs National Park (AR). Dr. Moore was awarded the Commonwealth of Australia's International Postgraduate Research Scholarship from 2011-2014. During her time at MSU, Dr. Moore has received two Summer Faculty Fellowship creative production grants. In 2022 Dr. Moore was awarded the Distinguished Creative Production Award by Morehead State University.

Bio

Robyn Moore is a photomedia artist originally from Virginia. Her practice explores the revelatory capabilities and potential of experimental and alternative photographic processes and techniques. Her research interests include deep time, biosemiotics, geology, phenomenology, empathic imagining and the ways in which visibly material photographic practices can encourage new ways of seeing, sensing and interacting with other beings and landscapes.
